So how in heck do I use version 10?

Firefox upgraded to version 10. No tutorial, completely different interface. I used to be able to allow gmail while blocking googleapis and gstatic on other sites. I used to be able to just let it default and not need to go study web design to figure out what to allow and what to block. Current interface offers lots of options which I know nothing about and also lists as "trusted" many many sites I never approved. I permanently approve very little and temporarily approve a lot. Don't even see a "temporarily approve" option. The popup bar on the bottom is completely gone and stuff just doesn't load unless you change the permissions, apparently permanently, via a cryptic and undocumented top menu button.

It would be useful if you provided information BEFORE removing functionality I rely on.

... and you know that this 'removing functionality' is the fault of NoScript, how exactly?

Firefox 57 completely changed the extensions system. NoScript had to be completely rewritten for this new extensions system. Everything was rushed, both from Mozilla end and Giorgio's end. And some of the functionality NoScript needs is not even available in Firefox 57.

Also, it has been said repeatedly that you can continue to use classic NoScript with Firefox 52 ESR.
