This proposal stands out:

For me, I always use the NoScript icon >> "Blocked Objects" >> "Temporarily allow *@​https://www.youtube.com". This requires only 1 click and enables both audio+video (whereas with click-to-play one has to individually allow video and audio).

However for non-technical persons this isn't obvious at first sight. Fixing this will involve having to change NoScript's UX so that a "Temporarily allow videos and audio from www.youtube.com" shows up that the user can easily understand and toggle to meet his needs.

What do you think

If this is added to the current options, this could be a great idea. If you're suggesting it replace the current option, -1 because "*@..." allows a hell of a lot more than just videos and audio.

Minor point, the text should read - The text from the Tor ticket makes it sound like a one-click button to summon winged unicorns from the skies and magically allow all videos and audio on a page. That is technically impossible.

But IIUC you're asking for one-click options to temporarily allow elements covered by NoScript Options > Embeddings > "Forbid <AUDIO>/<VIDEO>", right? That can be done and, again, IMO is a great idea.


I'm guessing Giorgio won't be implementing feature requests until NoScript has been ported to WebExtensions.

Right, and I assume that's the same thing the cypherpunk who wrote that idea had in mind.
