Hi, I have just updated NoScript to 1.9.8 in a Mac and Firefox gets completely frozen when loading web pages. I have uninstalled it and tried to reinstall , but in the Firefox extensions page it says that the extension is not MacOS compatible  , but I have been using it for a long time with no problems. Is it just a bug in the new version or a real uncompatibility?

Looks to be an issue on OSX.

See here, NS 1.9.8 causing browser to get "stuck" on some sites.

Options:

Revert to NoScript 1.9.7.9.
Disable ABE in 1.9.8.

In any case, watch for a new version with a fix in a day or so.

Please check if latest development build 1.9.8.1 fixes this issue as I hope.

Fixes the problem I was having with certain sites, so that's good.
