i use the ctrl-shift-\ shortcut all the time. but a lot of sites have scripts that popup only after three, four, even five or more times of reloading and allowing scripts. is there a way to change the ctrl-shift-\ shortcut so that it always allows instead of allowing and then revoking temp. permissions?

If I've understood your question, you're asking for an interface to toggle Allow the new scripts that are spawned when you Allow and reload the current window.
CTRL SHFT backslash is a narrowly specific action - toggling the Main guessed domain Allow/Forbid on a page, as you've found, but a user can access the more detailed context menu using the CTRL SHFT S switch - equivalent to the actions described more fully in this FAQ

thus you could first toggle the main domain (CRTL SHFT backslash), then use the context menu (CTRL SHFT S, or the mouse method) to continue to Allow through the nested scripts if needed.
If that's not answering your question, then maybe you are asking to remap your keygroups for NS?

Answer is no, but you can use the "Temporarily allow all this page" toolbar button instead.
