[Unrelated] Can anyone tell me..?

Post by Kris »

.. which domains need to be allowed to play this/a video on facebook? https://www.facebook.com/nvospas/videos ... noscript=1

Unfortunately more and more animal protection organisations do not keep "normal" websites updated, and post nearly everything about their animals exclusively on facebook.
I have many settings blocking that website, snooping everywhere with the like-buttons and so on, and hardly ever look there.
But sometimes I wish to look at something there, however it's blocked so well that I can't. And have no clue as to what's acually blocking it.

When I visit the page there's only one domain that can be allowed, being facebook.com

I'm trying to pin down what it is I need to change /need to allow to make the video play.

facebook.com is all that I needed.

In NoScript, check the Blocked Items list.
If you have 'Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too' enabled, that can make playback a little more tricky.

Otherwise maybe you have something else (another extension) blocking the video?
Or maybe you made video related Pref (about:config) changes affecting its playback?

Disable all other extensions except for NoScript & test.
Or as a test, create a new, clean Profile, install only NoScript & test.

Hi Therube,

Thank you for the answer and suggestions! I will try those later on and see what's blocking it.
Probably it's something other than NS, I've tried turning of NS and the result is the same, the video doesn't play.

Best regards,
Kris
