Firefox 50.1
NS 2.9.5.3
Hi,
When I go on
infocenter.arm.com, Firefox just hangs and memory usage increase a lot, while the cpu goes crazy.
It works fine with NS desactivated.
I tried to whitelist the domain, adjust my xss settings but still no luck.
What can I do next?
Thanks

Same behavior here in Firefox 50.0.2.
I see the hang if I whitelist infocenter.arm.com
before visiting it. This is the only message in the Browser Console -
Code: Select all
login.arm.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
An additional root certificate may need to be imported.
Error code: <a id="errorCode" title="SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER">SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER</a>
Disabling ABE, ClearClick, XSS filters (both of them), inclusion type checking, AND surrogate scripts, didn't help at all.
If I visit it with scripts blocked, I don't see any hang.
If I force-enable e10s before visiting the site, the hang ends after like 30 seconds and the site becomes usable.

Thanks barbaz,
At least, I am not the only one.
What now? Is there a technical step we should make or will the author fix it?
Or.. ?

Not sure. I guess we just hope that Giorgio too can repro the error and either elucidate and/or put a fix in.
In the mean time, as a sort-of workaround, can you
enable e10s or does that break other addons you need?

e10 helps keeping the UI responsive but the inner problem is still here: the page is very slow to load and my cpu usage is the same (very high).
It is definitely a bug in NS. I hope Giogio can sort that out

Hi,
Could Giorgio or anyone else have a look at the issue?
Thank you so much,
Bye

Mean anything?
Code: Select all
Error: Load denied by X-Frame-Options: https://account.arm.com/1eb62d43-db15-492b-beab-8a32f6d90351/oauth2/v2.0/authorize?p=b2c_1a_lv.sign-in.1.0.0&response_type=id_token&scope=openid&client_id=b7081cb4-7f96-4801-b7f8-66363e9833dc&state=PSADY9FqDypFuTArEgRzYL92jeE&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Flogin.arm.com%2Fredirect%2Fprotected&nonce=qTZOcmlAeYbYqetp6bf2gyouRl9M54aykGkr3XmbyKM&response_mode=query does not permit framing.
(Otherwise, I wonder if the hang doesn't eventually subside?)

Did you check
latest development build 5.0rc2 for any difference?

No I didn't, as I wasn't notified of the update. 5.0rc2 is MUCH better

But there are still some shorter hangs (up to 10-15 seconds I think), mostly when clicking the stuff in the left sidebar. This slight hanging does not happen without NoScript.
