NoScript seems to block the Instant Translate add-on (https://
insttranslate.com) for Firefox. How can I avoid it?

The Translator add-on is working when these domains exist in noscript's whitelist:
google.com
translate.googleapis.com

Probably the latter is missing so copy/paste translate.googleapis.com to ns whitelist then click allow.
Give it a try.

Forgot to mention this add-on requires a persistent/permanent cookie in Firefox, without it you'll have to change your Instant Translator preferences each time you start the browser.
Keep the cookie until it expires instead of deleting it until you close FF.
