NS not blocking malicious popups from vids on watchseries

When watching TV show vids linked through the site the-watch-series.to, with links for like Movepod, Vidztv, etc., a popup will open in a new tab and while NS sometimes blocks anything further, other times if you don't kill that tab immediately it sometimes leads to a fake virus scan page that of course would try to get you to download some malware/ransomware. Norton catches this and labels it as webattack 29. Am I doing something wrong (other than streaming there of course), or is NS unable to fully handle this? Thanks for any help.

So.
NoScript is not made to block popups, malicious or otherwise.
Though it will block JavaScript from the malicious (or rather, not allowed) site from running.
So series.to links to gorillavid or some other site, & you do need to allow series.to for the linked link to show, & clicking that link, opens both [malicious] http:// data . bambergerkennanchitinous.com/, where JavaScript is not allowed to run, & also then gives you the actual link to gorillavid, which you do need to allow, with which allows you to watch your movie.
All expected.
On some sites, depending, you might not have to allow "gorillavid". With gorillavid, you actually have to. Will depending on the particular site.
Now it would be nice if bamberger never opened up at all, but that's all part of the game.
I'm seeing very few sites that you actually have to allow to get things to work, so the more you limit, the better off you should be.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I have already been allowing just the main series.to site and the selected provider like gorilla instead of all their stuff. So I guess I will just have to continue as is and continue to kill those windows/tabs and not click on anything. The funny thing is that I am pretty sure that movepod and gorilla are the same, and all the multiple links for them for an episode are the same source and not mirrors. Plus although you can complain about problems with vids they won't really remove any links.
