noscript now defaults to all enabled, must mark as untrusted

Post by noregistrationrequired »

Greetings,
First, apologies, I read the Faq, did some searches and came up empty. If this post is a dupe, please flame my invisible friend.

Once upon a time, NoScript allowed one to block everyting by default. I liked this feature. Now, everything is unblocked by default and I have to hunt down the evildoers one by one. Bring it on. Mission accomplished. Peace in our time. Two chickens in every pot and a car in every garage. Compassionate conservatism.

I installed NoScript to block the things I haven't checked out yet. Letting them through by default is kinda useless, ya know? Like, totally ineffective.

Looking now for a privacy-enhancing add-on that will block everything until I let it in. NoScript isn't the solution any more. It's the precipitate.

bye

So, user set Allow Scripts Globally, probably accident. User can disable that by clicking Forbid Scripts Globally in the menu - or, go NoScript Options > Whitelist, un-check "Scripts Globally Allowed (dangerous)". But user choose instead to give up noscript and prattle on about it in forum. Whatever's easiest for you i guess?

bye-bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;)
