Hi, I'm having issues downloading music from a certain user on Soundcloud. Here's a link to one of their tracks: https://soundcloud.com/stormdragon-1/we ... n-tetris-a FlashGot detects about 15 or so files, each of which is an individual snippet of the entire piece; this happens on all tracks by that user, as far as I can tell. I'm not having this problem with any other Soundcloud users' music; I even talked to this user about it, and they said that they weren't sure why it was happening, nor had they done anything to block Flashgot or other download managers. I'm unsure if the problem is on my end or not, although I've tried clearing my cache and cookies, plus installing the latest development build of Flashgot, all to no avail. Any advice

I'm seeing 1 file, .mp3, 1 min 22 sec (though that does seem to be truncated), 1,325,765 bytes.

(I'm on XP [& SeaMonkey 2.40, like FF 43] & I guess I'm getting an HTML5 player?)

How odd...it must be an issue on my end, then. I'm not sure what could be causing it, though, as I haven't had any trouble with using Flashgot on any of their music up until yesterday.

I suppose I could try uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox, but beyond that I'm unsure of what I might be able to do to fix the problem.

Rarely accomplishes anything.
As a test, create a new, clean Profile, install only FlashGot & test.

Skip that, maybe its a FF 47 thing...

What the particular issue is, or maybe why, not really sure?

But you can work around it by changing the (about:config) value of, media.fragmented-mp4.enabled to 'false'.

With that change you should see the single mp3.
Without that change you see an m3u8 & associated "fragments".

There are other media.fragmented.* Prefs, but what any of them do, can't say that I know?

I can't seem to find that entry in about:config. Is there something else that I need to enable in order to access it?

That Pref had existed, in the past.
And I must have copied/pasted that name - from somewhere?

Anyhow, try:

media.mediasource.mp4.enabled
or
media.mp4.enabled
or even
media.mediasource.enabled

All look to work.
Would think the last to be most broad.
The difference between the first two, I don't know.
What any of them do, specifically, I don't know.

Huh, weird. Glad that I wasn't just not seeing it somehow, at least.

Anyway, changing that first one - media.mediasource.mp4.enabled - to false seems to have fixed it. Thanks for your help!
