[Unrelated] Facebook VS NoScript

I have just installed NoScript on Firefox Portable V46. It does what I wanted it to (prevents scripts on some sites doing stupid stuff like moving stuff around dynamically or showing ads) plus a whole lot of I didn't want it to, that is preventing harmless sites from working normally. So I had to manually whitelist a whole lot of sites (20-30) I could remember at the moment, and test them all. Now they all function perfectly, except for one, and that one is a biggy.
Facebook seems to load normally judging by the Firefox interface, but all I get is a completely blank white page (even though the top of the window says I have 5 notifications, so clearly my browser and F. are communicating). Whitelisting Facebook domains in all shapes and forms I could think of doesn't help. Even allowing scripts globally doesn't help. Completely disabling NoScript should help but to do that I have to reset Firefox, and I don't want to be forced to reset often with 50-100 tabs open in 10-15 Firefox windows.
Please help me so I can use Facebook without completely getting rid of NoScript, and asap.

I just tried disabling NoScript completely (exactly the way you said, though you didn't have to explain that) and surprisingly Facebook is still not working in Firefox (all the other scripts NoScript was stopping worked as before) ! This NoScript is some resilient piece of...
I know NoScript is responsible because Facebook was working perfectly for me right until the moment I installed NoScript, and also because Facebook is working for me right now in IE (just tested it) ! And because I can see something is "changing" the page, there is no communication problem.
But I don't want to use IE just for Facebook, so how do I solve this problem ?

NoScript can't have that kind of effect when disabled, so this is not related to NoScript then.

Are you running any content blocker extensions, such as Adblock Plus or uBlock Origin, that have auto-updating subscriptions and could be hiding the page contents? It's possible that some such auto-update coincided with when you installed NoScript.

To my great surprise, you were indeed right, and NoScript indeed was not to blame, and Adblock Plus was. The problem was not in an update, the problem was while I was testing different sites for normal functionality after installing NoScript I visited IMDB and used Adblock to permanently disable some piece of crap from Facebook on IMDB. It has a functionality where you click on a webpage element you don't want to ever see again, and Adblock adds it to the filter list. The problem is precisely identifying the name of that element, and if used like a loose cannon this function can blot out what you didn't want and whole sites. That was the case here. So I just adjusted the filter list removing the line which basically filtered out all of Facebook and voila, all is right again.
Thanks for the quick and accurate replies.
