[RESOLVED] Double noscript entries in FFox 45.0.1 x64

Post by pcguy »

I noticed that in my Firefox 45.0.1 x64 had two entries in the extension list. One showed that Noscript was to be installed and the other showed that NoScript was suppose to be uninstalled on the next reboot. Rebooting solved nothing they still showed up in the extension list. I managed to uninstall the one said it was going to be uninstalled but even after rebooting there is still and entry in my FF extensions for Noscript saying that it will be installed on the next restart. How can in remove this phantom entry in Firefox?

This is the screen shot of the phantom noscript that remained and could not be deleted. Clicking on Undo did not do anything and clicking on Restart restarted firefox but it still showed up with the same options.

I solved the issue by closing Firefox down, renaming the profile directory for Firefox and restoring the profile directory from a backup.

Thank you for reporting your findings and glad you got it resolved Image Most likely this was profile corruption and you did the best solution.
