[RESOLVED] Subdomain problem.

Post by lllbob »

Hello all..

Since the last 2 builds or so.. the subdomain option doesn't seem to work as it once did. or is it just me?

* Example: This forum: https://forums.informaction.com/
- Noscript reads: Temp/Allow: informaction.com. I don't want that.
- I want : Temp/Allow: forums.informaction.com I want this Back. as I always have had it.

Note: Sites that were already allowed previosly are shown correctly: Forbid: forums.informaction.com...
If I forbid it back.. then only Allow: informaction.com is shown.

That posses a security issue when visting free webhost sites with subdomain names.
Example: MyFreePage.SumFreeHost.com (not a real site.just an example.)
It now only shows: Allow: SumFreeHost.com
So it would then allow All sites hosted on the free host domain name.. I don't want that.
I want: Allow: MyFreePage.SumFreeHost.com

* So how do I get noscript back like it was? Temp/Allow: Page.Domain.com and Not Temp/Allow: Domain.com
* Is there a new option somewhere I can set?
The popup options used to Show Both: Page.Domain.com and Domain.com

thanks for any help..

Firefox: 44.01 - Noscript: 2.9.0.4 - Windows vista 32bit.

Options-Appearance, ensure that 'Full domains' is checked.

Thanks man! Problem now solved. :-)

Ooops.. sorry man.. I forgot about those being in the Appearance section. Doh! I was just over looking them..
and I forgot that I made a new ff profile.. although i did import the old rules. maybe that appearance part didn't import.
Welp.. problem now solved. and lesson learned: Always look a just little bit more in options... haha! Doh!

* Thanks for the Great NoScript!
...I wouldn't even want to surf the net without noscript.

Well, there are two different Export buttons. The one at the bottom-center of the Options dialog will export all NoScript configuration, while the one at the bottom-right of the Whitelist tab will export just your whitelist+blacklist.

Good to hear it's working for you :).
