Firefox Share is a builtin feature, see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/sh ... efox-share.

A problem has started to appear recently when NoScript is enabled -- things are fine in Safe Mode or with NoScript disabled.

The first attempt to share a page to a service in browser session does not work. See a screenshot here:

After 2 or 3 clicks to share to Google+ or to Tumblr, the windows loads.

As a test, try Allow Scripts Globally then restart Firefox, does it work then?

No. Same thing: it takes 2 or 3 clicks on a service icon before it shows the loaded page instead of an error message.

When this issue occurs, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

Nothing there points directly to the cause... so need to check if this is extension conflict. Does disabling all extensions other than NoScript get it working? (Tools > Add-ons Manager)

Given my aversion to all this social stuff, I think that's all I can offer here, so I'll leave this thread alone now.

Confirmed, something is up.


(SeaMonkey has, File | Send Link..., & FF must have had similar to, but suppose that was too good, so they had to put in this confusing ass [to me at least] Share A Webpage crap.

I've no idea why, but after restarting FF in Safe Mode [to disable NoScript] & after "sharing" a page with myself, woop-de-do, FF is eating CPU & leaking memory? Could be my Profile or who knows what.)
