Hi Everyone,
You're gonna hate on me for asking silly questions but here goes....
I love No Scripts.
But I find myself unloading it time and time again.
I get tired of not being able to access vimeo and you-tube videos.
I like the fact that it blocks some of these that start on a web page on their own which is annoying.
But when I want to actually want to watch something I can't because I can't figure out which option to approve from the options at the bottom right of the browser.
Sometimes I get it right and the video loads.Most times I can't.
I tried putting stuff into the ABE section like youtube.com,etc but still nothing.
Does someone have some permissions that I can copy and paste into the No Scripts options that would allow me to watch videos?
Am I even going about this the right way?
I have real problems comprehending directions and I've tried to do this on my own because I do think this (No Scripts) is needed.
Point me to a link,another post,anything you think might help me.I would be so appreciative.
Thank you.

No need to mess with ABE. Please clear any ABE rules you entered.

Here's permissions for youtube and vimeo. +si.te means allow or temp-allow si.te in the NoScript menu

Youtube (html5):

Code: Select all

+www.youtube.com
+s.ytimg.com
+googlevideo.com
Vimeo doesn't seem to have a working html5 player, but with Flash all I had to do is allow the Flash object by clicking its placeholder, no JS required.

Do those permissions work for you?

(I'm not understanding what's "silly" about your question. The use of color for your entire post is a different matter though ;) )

One other thing. If you really find the script permission system too complicated, you could try Cascade permissions mode.
NoScript Options > Advanced > Trusted, check "Cascade..."

np, I'm just glad you at least didn't pick a color that hurts my eyes :P

You might consider to look into creating user style for this board that changes the color of the text to something other than black.
Something like this maybe?

Code: Select all

@-moz-document domain("forums.informaction.com") {

.content {
  color: #000080;
}

}
This will default the color of post text to that which you used in your OP.

To apply it use either userContent.css or Stylish
