NoScript settings changing on their own

I have a very similar problem where at random some blacklisted and whitelisted sites will disappear from their lists. One that is persistently "removing itself" from the blacklist is noaa.gov. Makes me wonder if the Feds have a way around noscript? Also I noticed that the settings for the add-on itself keep changing between browsing sessions. The worst offender for me is that I'll have the add-on way I want it-- no "button" up there in my toolbar, so that if I accidentally click on noscript it only drops down a menu and doesn't change settings. But often lately I go to drop the menu down and realize I'm clicking a button because it changed its own settings. Every time I go back to make sure it's set the way I want it, it's been changed somehow. This happens between version releases so it's not an update issue.

Argh, just now I noticed that being here on the forum literally forced no script into "allow all globally" even though I didn't even touch it. Also I have noscript set to reload the page whenever I change permissions, and it did not reload just now when it changed on its own. I've uninstalled and reinstalled everything (add-ons, Firefox, even rollback recovery on my OS) more than once, mainly for troubleshooting Firefox. No script is set to automatic updates so I should have the latest version.
I'm not sure what else to do in order to make noscript behave itself.

It sounding to me like your
profile is seriously messed up. Create a new
profile and salvage what you can

Are they your most recent additions?

It's not just you. Just a couple days ago, I saw completely unreadable CAPTCHAs on another site, and after reading your comment I decided to check ours, and while the second word I'm getting is readable just fine, the first word is totally unreadable in the middle.
@Giorgio (or any site admin using CAPTCHAs): Any idea why the CAPTCHAs are so much less readable recently? Or am I gradually turning into a bot without knowing it?

No, but I guess those are now since I have to whitelist them most recently everytime, i had never any trouble with other pages. (I whitelist pages temporarly but those doesnt count I think)

Do these sites show up normally in the menu, or like "Allow http://theentiredom.ain" or "Allow [ http://theentiredom.ain ]"?

They show normally, without brackets. I will do some testing later bc it only happens after some time, an hour or so.

Adblock Edge has been discontinued; plus (IMO) Adblock Edge has been somewhat pointless ever since ABP dropped the typo correction "feature". I for one haven't used it in over two years, having moved on to my own personal fork of ABP.
I suggest you replace it with
Adblock Plus,
Policeman, or
µMatrix.
Does removing or replacing Adblock Edge get NoScript working for you?

i installed ublock but disabled it, along with other addons, completely in my browser. the site was again after almost 3 hours still whitelisted. the next days i will try and play at night. maybe it was a problem with the plugin container from firefox, i had trouble with offline flash games before ff 42. or, like is said, its random and not really repeatable.

today i encountered another problem, i tried to scroll on my mouse but it didnt respond as i expected to. i moved my mouse on the scrollbar (i use wizmouse(antibody software), some extra program) but it doesnt respond as always, and even after some time..bc usually it always works....so on my tries i really expect the error lies whether in the ff-plugincontainer or maybe theres something wrong with adobe flash. your noscript addon works great i think......in 2 words: i think your programming is not really responsible!

I don't know what that means. Is there a noscript "profile" I'm supposed to have? There are reasons I did not visit our link, and here they are:
100% of time time Firefox/Mozilla support is completely useless to me. They NEVER EVER have the right solution or even list my problem. And their website never works properly for me, and that's years of trying with various browsers and OS. Perhaps my security is too tight and is causing massive functionality problems?
Plus I was banned since they use only bullies and total jerks as moderators and I refused to take their outright verbal abuse. I stood up for myself one time using no foul language or name calling or any childish behaviors, even though the moderator was in fact behaving that way. The whole thread became out of control with other people speaking up as well and in the end they just banned my ip from ever having an account and deleted the thread.
So F*** mozilla, the only reason I use firefox is because every other browser I've tried is even worse. Big giant sad face!
