Import/Exprot settings

Is there a way to transfer Flashgot settings to other profiles?
Is there a way to get the right video name when using Free Download Manager with Flashgot, on places like youtube, instead of always videoplayback?'

I'm thinking not.
You could do a search of prefs.js for all things "flashgot".
Code: Select all
> grep.exe "flashgot" prefs.js > flashgot_prefs.TXT
And then manually finagle something on the other side.

Again, thinking not.
Though there used to be: flashgot.media.guessName & flashgot.media.forceNameHack but I'm not seeing them any longer, so don't know if they're still available or not (much less what they might have done/do)?
Renaming as I set up a download has been standard operation for me for ages (depending on the site & whatnot).

Thanks for responding. I know there must be a good reason for the developer either not wanting to or not being able to implement these things.
A good number of my extensions have the ability to export/import settings. I often need to build or rebuild a profile. It makes things simpler and easier. How hard could this be to implement? After all this time, I dont get it.

Out of curiousity, I actually foun d them in about:config, but appear to have no effect either way
