"to temporarily resolve the basic domains of 2nd level defau

Post by amid525 »

Good afternoon! There is a question. Why incl. option "to temporarily resolve the basic domains of 2nd level default" strongly inhibit some pages loading and transitions. For example http://www.interfax.ru/russia/?

The page tries to load "data" from www.tns-courter.ru, for about forever, impeding the loading of the wanted site, http://www.interfax.ru/russia/.

But then it seems to get stuck on mc.yandex.ru too (& that's with yandex.ru allowed).

Even if Allow Globally, it still "hangs up" (interfax.ru).

IOW, if you disable NoScript, the page loads (relatively) cleanly.

Oh.. in this case when it's slow, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

Nothing I'm seeing.
(Well there is the "downloadable font" type errors [that seem quite prevalent these days]

Code: Select all

Error: downloadable font: download not allowed (font-family: "robotolight" style:normal weight:normal stretch:normal src index:2): content blocked source: http://www.interfax.ru/css/Roboto-Light-webfont.ttf
Source File: http://www.interfax.ru/css/style.css
Line: 1, Column: 1330
Source Code:
@font-face {   font-family: "robotolight";   font-style: normal;   font-weight: normal;   src: url("Roboto-Light-webfont.eot?#iefix") format("embedded-opentype"), url("Roboto-Light-webfont.woff") format("woff"), url("Roboto-Light-webfont.ttf") format("truetype"), url("Roboto-Light-webfont.svg#robotolight") format("svg"); }
)

BTW, disabling XSS makes no difference.

> impeding the loading of the wanted site

This is not a CPU intensive event, & hitting the ESC key stops all load (attempts).

Today, Allow Globally does allow the site to load as expected.
(Or maybe it was some particular NoScript settings I had had set? Did a [NoScript] Reset earlier.)
