Bandcamp player not working anymore

Post by RedFlames »

So the Bandcamp player used to work pretty well, as long as you allowed the embedded object after clicking play once. But since a few weeks despite allowing the player (it's on a subdomain called poppler5 so I guess that's the name of the player?) does not play anything anymore. :/

Right now I was trying to listen to http://audmonsters.bandcamp.com/album/eoads but you can try it on any other bandcamp page too.

I am using Firefox 40.0.2 on Windows 7, tried the most recent development build of NoScript too. I have Ghostery, HTTPS Everywhere and CookieMonster installed but Whitelisted / disabled / allowed everything for bandcamp in those and still nothing.

Here's a screenshot of the NoScript menu albeit in german it should be obvious what the options are. ;)

Usually I'd just have to allow *@popplers5.bandcamp.com/ and it would work. Dunno what changed.

I'd be very happy to see this resolved, thanks in advance and thanks for the great plugin in general

Did anyone ever look at this? Does it affect literally just me? I can't get soundcloud working either anymore. It's kinda annoying.

WFM.
Pause, play, timeline, forward back.

With a default NoScript install, I allowed:

+bcbits.com
+bandcamp.com

And that worked.

If I set Embeddings to Apply to whitelisted sites too, I also had to allow the pop*whateveritwas blocked object.

As a test, create a new, clean Profile, install on NoScript & see if that works.
Then adjust your NoScript options to what you currently use & test again.

If both work...
