[RESOLVED] Firefox Crash on new Outlook

Greetings all!

Outlook, aka 'Hotmail' has just updated their site. Though I was able to log in a few times early this evening Firefox now crashes every single time I try and log on. I turned off what extensions I use and, turning them back on one at a time, found that it is No Script that is related to the crash. I am running No Script 2.6.9.35 on a Windows 7 64 bit machine (fully updated OS), with Firefox 39.0.3. I can get in without No Script running (which I'm not comfortable with) or with Explorer (which I won't use.) The address I see when I log in is https://outlook.live.com/owa... which I have attempted to white-list in the No Script options, but I can't type in outlook.live.com because the 'add' button greys out and wont' accept the address.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Works for me.
https://blu172.mail.live.com/?fid=flinbox.
Though I wouldn't know an old look from a new look (as I virtually never log in there).

No idea if "outlook.live.*" is any different?
No idea if the site offers any options as to how its set up/displayed?
(Yahoo as it "semi-Classic" mode & "New" mode [which sucks, IMO].)

Odd, as it crashes for me without fail. I tried 'Allow Scripts Globally' (just to go to outlook) and I logged in fine. While logged in I selected 'Disable Scripts Globally' and FireFox crashed immediately.

Here is the Firefox crash URL: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/ ... 7ee2150813

Thanks again for checking this out!

So it's bad site design causing the crash (they don't have a good fallback for if something is missing). All to do here is look at what's showing up on the menu with Scripts Globally Allowed, and add the needed domain(s) from there to your whitelist?

(If you need help with deciding which domain(s) may be needed, please post a screenshot of the NoScript menu on that site when Scripts Globally Allowed.)

Thank you, that seems to have done it!

I had to white-list everything (I've tried pulling things out to see if it's a specific one, but it appears to need all of them to keep from crashing.)

Here is what I had to white list:

live.com
trouter.io
skype.com
msads.net
office365.com
skypeassets.com
