I have NoScript as a Firefox addon in Mint Mate. I have whitelisted netflix.com, nflxext.com, nflximg.com, nflxvideo.net and dvd.netflix.com. I have only partial(not enough funtionality) use of the netflix.com site and NoScript says:
Scripts Currently Forbidden | <SCRIPT>: 8 | <OBJECT>: 0
In Options the bottom line is:
ALLOW [http://dvd.netflix.com]
whitelist will not let me add "http://dvd.netflix.com"
It is my understanding that scripts are allowed on whitelisted sites. I don't seem to be having any problems with any other sites I visit. Netflix claims it's not their problem! What could be wrong with my NoScript settings to cause my Netflix site not to function properly.

Re: Scripts blocked on whitelisted site
Well, I think they are correct in this case.Pat C wrote:Netflix claims it's not their problem!
There are two settings in NoScript that could make this symptom. One is if you have Sandbox rule in ABE and the other is NoScript Options > Advanced > HTTPS > behavior > Forbid active content unless it comes from a secure connection. Make sure nothing in NoScript > Options > Advanced > ABE that says "Sandbox" to a "Site dvd.netflix.com" or something like that, and make sure the second setting I mentioned is set to "Never".
That should get it working.. please let us know, thanks

Re: Scripts blocked on whitelisted site
I didn't change anything in ABE as I didn't understand it. ABE and WAN IP ... LOCAL are enabled. I did have netflix in the "Force the following sites to use secure (HTTPS) connections" box by mistake and because it wasn't an https site I deleted it a few days ago. Now I have only https sites there and they work fine. So unter the HTTPS permissions tab I should have "Forbid active web content unless it comes from a secure (HTTPS) connection" set to Never? I do have "Allow HTTPS scripts globally on HTTPS documents" checked!

Yep.. sometimes NoScript will mistakenly think you're on a proxy even when you're not (you aren't the first person reporting that)Guest wrote:So unter the HTTPS permissions tab I should have "Forbid active web content unless it comes from a secure (HTTPS) connection" set to Never?

Re: Scripts blocked on whitelisted site
Thanks for the help, barbaz! I was the guest above. I think i fixed it without messing up my other HTTPS sites. I changed the HTTPS permissions tab from always to never.
