[OK] NoScript 2.6.9.29rc1 is downdating to NoScript 2.6.9.29
Posted: Wed Jul 01, 2015 1:48 pm
Background
Using a profile that I had not used for a few weeks.
At "about:addons" did a 'check for updates' and, as expected, several Extensions were updated.
I had a 'NoScript splash screen', for a new major version of Noscript,
tell me that NoScript 2.6.9.28rc2 was NOT the latest version
(probably because the latest version was not available at AMO)
and to collect it from, IIRC, from getit.
I used https://noscript.net/feed?c=200&t=a
to install NoScript 2.6.9.29rc1.xpi
After a restart, at "about:addons", I did another 'check for updates'.
This time 'a new update was found' and NoScript 2.6.9.29 was installed.
I have now repeated this on several profiles.
STR
1. Install NoScript 2.6.9.29rc1
2. at "about:addons", Extensions tab, do a 'check for updates'.
Actual
NoScript 2.6.9.29 will be installed.
I speculate that this profile has also switched to the 'normal release channel'
(that is it is NO LONGER on the NoScript rc channel).
Expected
"No updates found" and no update done.
Still on the NoScript rc channel.
Additional Information
If the Profile has NoScript 2.6.8.28rc2 then "No updates found" and no update done.
Does this mean AMO does not have a newer rc version than 2.6.8.28rc2?
Checking
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... /versions/

N.B.
There is NO Version 2.6.9.29rc1
So, this might be a temporary glitch until Version 2.6.9.29rc1, is available at AMO.
