Noscript Whitelist (question)

Hi,
I've read that having a huge NoScript whitelist can slow down the addon over time, is it true?
Does the amount of whitlisted websites affect the performance of NoScript at some point?
Thanks.

How big are you planning to make your whitelist?
I think you would have to have thousands of entries to notice anything; even at that, those who did have whitelists of that size would (IIRC) only complain about hangs in NoScript Options > Whitelist, which for NoScript 2.6.9 I helped redesign to be more efficient in such cases. Even in your case where you're using old hardware, I would think it'd take at least many hundreds of entries before you notice anything, probably more.
I can't speak for everyone or be sure, but I would think that if you have that many whitelist entries, it's possible you're not using NoScript in the most optimal way...

At this rate I may have a thousand entries in 3-4 years.
I am always on Google Search and discover new sites almost every day, I whitelist the necessery scripts for proper functionallity on the websites that I can trust, so that I won't need to do it again when I happen come back. Yes, I am that kind of guy who like to search for new stuffs on the web.
That was just my concern, that a big whitelist might slow down the addon while browsing. I won't mind hangs in NoScript -> Options -> Whitelist as long as I don't notice performance issues while browsing.

You're welcome
(note that I'm not speaking from first-hand experience, just what I've seen others report on this forum)
(And as I said if you're using NoScript >= 2.6.9 the whitelist panel hang should be significantly mitigated.)
