Hello,

I have a fresh install of the latest Firefox (38.05) and the latest FlashGot (1.5.6.12.1 signed) on OSX.
I have no other extensions installed.

None of the options in FlashGot are available... when I go to a page with downloads, the menu items are all grayed out except for 'FlashGot Tabs' when I have multiple tabs open, and even then it doesn't work - choosing that presents a 'filter' dialog but saves nothing.

I've tried messing with the preferences but nothing seems to help.

This is confusing, as I had a fully working version just two days ago before doing a fresh install.

Any ideas?

As a test, create a new, clean Profile
Open that Profiile
Install only FlashGot
Close & Restart FF
When FF opens, does FlashGot's context menu display as expected?

I'll give that a shot.

That said, this is on a machine with an install of Yosemite that is only 1 day old. Not much time to get crufty.

I'm having a similar issue.

I'm on Windows 7, Firefox 40.02, and Flashgot 1.5.6.12. All of the options in the menu except for "FlashGot Tabs" are grayed out. I've tried:
* disabling all add-ons and restarting Firefox
* creating a new Firefox profile and installing only FlashGot
* creating a new Windows profile and installing only FlashGot.
Same results each time.



It started after upgrading Firefox from 38 to 39. I was able to get the menu back by reverting to 38, but I need to upgrade now so that wont work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If by "plugins", you mean extensions, that was the first thing I tried. If you meant I should also disable the Flashgot extension, I tried that too, then re-enabled and it didn't make a difference. Firefox plugins (things like flash, java, adobe acrobat, etc..) can't be disabled, so that isn't really an option.

I've got a few other extensions installed, Greasemonkey, Adblock, Web Developer extension, and the menus for those extensions all appear to be working properly.

Yes they can. Add-ons Manager -> Plugins.

(And in this new Profile, there would be no extensions except for FlashGot.)

Here's what I just tried:
* Open Firefox
* Tools->Add-Ons
* Clicked Extensions
* Click "Disable" on everything there (including Flashgot)
* Click Plugins
* Click "Never Activate" on everything
* Restart Firefox
* Open Firefox again, verify everything is disabled
* Close Firefox
* In Windows run "firefox.exe -P"
* Click "Create Profile"
* Call it "Test2" and click Finish
* Start Firefox using "Test2" profile
* Enable the menu bar and go to Tools->Add-Ons
* Click "Plugins"
* Click "Never Activate" on everything
* In the "Search all add-ons" menu, search for FlashGot Mass Downloader and click "Install"
* Restart Firefox
* Check Tools->Flashgot. Options are still grayed out

Restart your computer in Safe Mode.
Then, * Check Tools->Flashgot. Options ...?

Otherwise, only other thing I can think of & not even sure if it would apply, but...
