New Tab title flashes before settling down

Firefox 38.01, NoScript 2.6.9.25.1-signed, Win7
Very recently, I have noticed that every time a new tab is opened, the title flashes a few times as well as the Refresh/Stop icon in the Address-bar. If feels like the site is refreshing a few times before loading.
I disabled all addons and the issue went away.
By trial & error, it appears that NoScript is the cause. IT seems like a loop that is happening BEFORE DOM load.
