flash version check problem solving

Post by johanlundberg »

Hi all,
this swedish web tv page asks me to upgrade my flash player (it's in swedish) although I already have a new one. If I allow globaly it does not happen, but I can't seem to figure out what the problem is. How do you go about sorting things like this out?
The page is http://www.playprima.se/
In addition: when I'm at this update request page: if I press back (browser back) and then forward again, I get by the test... What's this about?

cheers J.

It works fine for me as soon as I allow both playprima.se and movenetworks.com.
If it doesn't for you, could you try latest development build 1.9.6.94?

Confirmed works fine, I was actually using 1.9.6.93 at the time.

Now thats an interesting one.

SeaMonkey 1.1.17.
I Allow playprima.se. Then Allow movenetworks.com. (Is a plugin also required?)

At that point, the main Flash screen does load & I am able to select a clip.
Say, http://www.playprima.se/#|37|novellfilm.
(Note the # in the URL. Perhaps unrelated to the other # issue?)

The screen loads as expected, the player controls are there, but none of the controls work, & I'm not able to play the clip.

---

FF 3.5.1.
I Allow playprima.se. Then Allow movenetworks.com. (Is a plugin also required?)

No Flash, only "För att kunna se Play Prima krävs flash player version 9 eller senare."?

Code: Select all

[NoScript] Blocking cross site Javascript served from http://gksrv.movenetworks.com/svtgeo?js=1 with wrong type info text/plain and included by http://www.playprima.se/
Disabling inclusion, disabling XSS makes no difference.
(Does disabling inclusion require a browser restart?)

Disable NoScript, & I get the same results as with SeaMonkey 1.1.17.

So yes, I'm going to assume that a plugin is needed too.

[I was on .62, let me put in .64 & see ... Not needed?]

---

So SeaMonkey 1.1.17 with NoScript is working (up to the point of requiring the plugin).
FF with NoScript is not.
FF with NoScript disabled is.

Ah, it IS needed. With NoScript 1.9.6.94, then FF works (again up to the point of requiring the plugin).
(And the Error Console message is also gone.)
(Note the # in the URL. Perhaps unrelated to the other # issue?)
Not an issue.
