Noscript and Firefox hang on shutdown

Win 7

I have been getting a lot of FF hangs on shutdown, where FF exits from the screen, but is still running. The Error Reporter then kicks in.

I have disabled and enable all addons, and find that the problem addon is Noscript 2.6.9.22. If this is disabled, then FF performs fine.

Of note:-
I updated FF to 37.0.2 on 21st April. On this day Noscript was also updated to the version I mention above, and the Java plugin was also updated to SE8 U45 (11.45.2.14).

I'd quite like to have Noscript back.

So by "Error Reporter" do you mean crash reporter, and if so do you have submitted crash report URL of this from about:crashes? (if so it's prefixed with 'bp'. if not click it to submit it.)

I'm going to assume that you've tried things like enabling only NoScript to make sure that NS is the cause in your profile and not just the messenger of a problem with another addon or something else. So anyway, assuming that assumption...

I've heard that FF 37.x has issues with plugins compared to prior releases.. so try outright disabling the Java plugin? (In any case it is a good idea to have that completely disabled when youre not using it.)

Does it depend at all on what pages you got open before trying close Fx? What about script permissions of those pages, anything Allowed? Any Plugins active on those pages?

So does downgrading NoScript to a version you KNOW didn't have this problem before actually fix it for you? If so what is the earliest dev build (rc version) that exhibits this issue?
