All opinions aside I am curious if there is a good place to follow NoScript's future in a Post Apocalyptic ES10 world. Seems like the current build is very non ES10 compatible. I saw one post on Mozilla that talked about it but can't find anything else on the topic. Wondering if there is a better place to follow for news.
Thanks

Yeah, that was the link I found with a bit of searching.barbaz wrote:https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1058542
I skimmed through it but I could not seem to glean any useful or relevant information as it pertains to es10.
On my try a combination of NoScript and Firefox with this "stupid spinner of death" rendered the whole browser unusable because the web page would load but Firefox's spinner of death never disappeared.
So, was wondering if there was a channel of communication to follow where people were being a bit braver than norm.

That bug is the primary source re: NoScript & e10s as far as I'm aware.
The upshot of it is, e10s is already supported by NoScript 3, so Giorgio will release NoScript 3 for desktop in order to avoid NoScript being broken by e10s.
It's not a matter of being "a bit braver than norm" or not, NoScript 2.x is not e10s-ready so it's just not expected to work with e10s atm.

The braver than norm was referring to people who were "using es10 + (bleeding edge super secret NS3)" and what they were doingbarbaz wrote:That bug is the primary source re: NoScript & e10s as far as I'm aware.

Is there currently no official place to follow NS3 development then?

Ah.. I have no idea how well it works on desktop Firefox, atm it's only exists for Mobile Firefox AFAIK, no idea how compatible desktop and mobile are, and never tried it myself.PristineVisitor wrote:The braver than norm was referring to people who were "using es10 + (bleeding edge super secret NS3)" and what they were doing![]()
