here's how i know noscript has updated

whatever firefox is loading just hangs and hangs and hangs until i open task manager and manually close down firefox. then when i reopen i get the noscript update website. this is really god damn annoying and if anyone know what causes it I would love to know.

Try disabling automatic addon updates: Tools > Add-ons Manager > gear icon > un-check "Update Add-ons Automatically"
