noscript causing slow hangs with flash/html5 interaction..

yeh getting really annoying and finally found it to be caused by noscript..

example a video playing say.. youtube using flash, if I try to click on the volume slider first time, it hangs, afterwards if I click on the volume slider it will be instant. Same with timeline, first time always causes hanging before the player recognizes where I clicked on the timeline and slips to that part.. its like the video object locks up, even just right clicking on the video... it does the same thing with html5 video...

with noscript disabled interactive video elements don't have this hanging... it is definitely caused by something noscript is doing and I have no idea what, maybe a setting ?

latest noscript version

Sounds like ClearClick.
Disable (possibly requiring restart, not sure) & see if you notice any change.
NoScript Options | Advanced -> ClearClick

yup it was being caused by clearclick

unticking 'trusted' fixed it.. i tried with just unticking 'untrusted' however the problem still remained.

OK then.
Please post here an exact youtube video URL where you see this, and the ClearClick messages from the Browser Console (Ctrl-Shift-J) that you see when clicking on the volume slider hangs, because disabling ClearClick on all JS enabled sites is a pretty drastic measure and YouTube is supposed to "just work" with NoScript OOB...

[ClearClick] Amazon Music Feels Heavy?

(Amazon has changed their player, so what I saw at the time may not particularly apply today, but the basic premise remains. Even now, when I get "tired" of the delay - wherever it may be, I simply disable ClearClick.)

> the ClearClick messages from the Browser Console

There isn't going to be any. No ClearClick warning is being invoked, it is simply the checking that slows things down.

@therube: No issue on that Amazon page here on SeaMonkey 2.32.1, those Play/Pause buttons always respond instantly to clicks AFAICT... do you still get the delay there?

No, I saw the edit but I'm asking whether you actually still see the lagging there...

why asking for a specific url//

its every **** youtube video or flash/html5 video object on any website.. the first time you click to interact with it is slow... and causes hangs.. from then on it can be instant, or it can happen again why I have no idea

clearclick disable for trusted and untrusted seems to fix the issue.

now it never happened before.. but when that before was I can't even remember, i just recently so **** tired of it, I thought it was flash and firefox, but after seeing it happen without flash, made me investigate further, finally pinning it down to noscript.

No idea on which recent firefox version/flash etc this has started happening, just no idea when.. FF copycat chrome **** versioning is most **** retard .. so I couldn't say what version it started

ff 20,21,22,2erc 34,35.. etc all the same **** versions so who knows..its not like ff2 and ff3 where versions actually **** meant something and it was easier to find and report issues for specific version.

Oh, I can't read.
I see it too, SeaMonkey 2.32.1, NoScript latest development build

URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHtNPzaHO7k
Flash version of the video

Try to turn the video volume down by clicking on the slider

First time, slight hang (about 1 second or so), after that will work normally

@Giorgio: Can anything be done about that?

would be nice if something could be done.. removing clearclick protection completely isn't something I'd want, but it seems for the most part interacting with flash/html5 video objects cannot be done properly without it disabled.
