The getit for noscript is not working. It takes a time to start and then when it's downloading it just hangs.

It does eventually work for me, but yeah it's slow to get going... does it start downloading within one minute?

When you've waited it out, if the download completes, does the following match the SHA1 checksum of the file you download?

I have not yet been able to get it to work, but still trying.

I can't get it to work. If it doesn't timeout on the link, then the download never completes. Help!

Hi again! I was able to update it thru the browser in addons. What a cuckoo that I didn't check there first. I always use the getit link to update.

It's definitely an issue with the server (so not on your end), nothing you or I can do about it except gather information and make sure Giorgio is aware of it. If it's still not working tomorrow and no response from him here I'll send him a PM.

Thank you for reporting it. The file you get from the browser addons is actually https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/down ... latest.xpi which should be the same as the file from noscript.net / informaction, so if you get a complete download from informaction you can cross check the checksum that way as well.

If you're willing to help investigate this further (if needed), you can right-click the link and select "Save Link As" to attempt the download, that way you won't keep reinstalling things into your browser.

It was, indeed, caused by an upgrade of the HTTPS setup with stronger ciphers and restricted fallback options.
It should be fixed now, but please report back if you find other oddities.

Now it's only a couple seconds wait.
