Revoke Temporary Permissions icon new behavior

Post by kukla »

still works but no longer greys out, nor does anything happen when clicked on to indicate a difference. Is this normal? Not certain, but think this may have arrived with the 2.6.9.8.

Very curious: As a test, just temporarily updated to the release candidate you linked and saw that the Temp Permissions icon was now showing as quite faint when it is clicked--a distinct improvement (but don't remember it being that faint before all this started). Then reinstalled the 2.6.9.8 by replacing a newly backed up profile, not just reinstalling the add-on, and that quite faint when clicked behavior is still occurring.

Perhaps you may be able to explain what the RC is supposed to fix that, apparently, went wrong, and why I'm now seeing the faint when clicked behavior, even with the original 2.6.9.8 from the exact same profile as before now restored.
Fixed regression causing "Revoke temporary permissions"
gitches (thanks barbaz for reporting)
Random glitches?

Try removing NoScript completely and re-installing 2.6.9.6 and see if the faintness still there?
If so, please put back 2.6.9.9rc1 and try Standard Diagnostic and let us know the reults, thanks

Getting confused: the button never stopped working, just didn't do anything when clicked. Now, after trying the rc, where the button became faint when hit, and back to the 2.6.9.8, it continues to work properly and continues to become faint when selected. Are you saying that it shouldn't be this faint? Obviously, if I start in Safe Mode, NoScript won't be present to see its behavior. And I certainly don't want to start over with a new profile, and all the work that entails just for this rather trivial issue--trivial at least for me, since it works either way, faint or remaining solid.

Is this too faint? Not how it's supposed to look when selected?

Just looks disabled.. if you have no temporary permissions I'd say that's normal but if it's like that when you *do* have temporary permissions there may be a problem

Yeah, with temp permissions enabled, it always gets solid. Still puzzled as to why it started looking "normal" when selected, even after restoring the exact same 2.6.9.8 from the backup profile, where before it wouldn't do anything when selected, just stayed solid, no matter what. Remaining solid or not, it never stopped working to disable temp permissions. Very weird. That's why I asked if this was random.
