Since the last update I have no audio on any video I download with FlashGot in Seamonkey.
Using other downloaders the audio is fine.

I have the same issue on my side - no audio on downloaded videos from YouTube, for example here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGUPm8agiWw

I have read that the problem is that recently YoyTube switched to MPEG-DASH format, what means that video and audio are streamed in separate files and FlashGot is only donwloading video part.

There is a plugin for FireFox with downloads such video properly: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... audio-dow/

thanks zuber!
just tried it and it's wonderful...

installs quickly, it even offers to download ffmpeg for you (to do the audio)
so you don't have to search for it and it installs and configures it all by itself
and it only takes a few minutes...

it puts a download link on each youtube page under the video
and pops up a menu showing all of them
and it lists them plainly so you know what everything is...

if there's one that's video only it'll tell you,
and when you click on it it'll download the audio too
and mix them together when it's done
and you don't have to do anything at all... :)

it'll also extract mp3 from all the videos all by itself...

flashgot will download the ones
that are both audio and video no problem
but on the list there's no way to tell
which ones are which...

edit: yes there is...
if you right click on the flashgot toolbar button
and hover over available formats
it'll show you all the ones that are complete...

if you hover over DASH (separate audio and video tracks)
it'll list the video ones first
and the audio ones underneath them...

you can also access options from there
and clear the list
never knew that...

sometimes its so easy to get caught up in all the technical stuff
that you forget to see the basics
of how to begin and how to use it
a feel for it..
what to do to accomplish your purpose...
