[RESOLVED] No security site check

Post by ciryon »

Hello

I am on ubuntu 14.04 with firefox 33.0 and Noscript 2.6.9.4.

Usually when I middle-click on a script I have a page which permit me to check the site on WOT, Mac afee site avisor and Hphosts.

I've changed my Desktop Environment a couple of hours ago and reverted back from Mate to Unity, but now when I middle-click on a link I am forwarded to the Noscript main page who propose me to install it...but it is already installed.

I've tried to deactivate and reactivate Noscript : no change.

Did not know no registration was needed to post, but, too late :D

What is the value of noscript.siteInfoProvider in about:config?

Confirmed in NoScript 2.6.9.5rc1, noscript.siteInfoProvider just default.
Middle-click on "informaction.com" in my menu on this page takes me to

Code: Select all

http://noscript.net/about/informaction.com;informaction.com
which redirects (301) to

Code: Select all

https://noscript.net/about/informaction.com%3binformaction.com
which then redirects me (302) to

Code: Select all

http://noscript.net/
So I'm not sure this is a NoScript issue?

Hello Admiral Thrawn :)

The value is "by default".

I am now able to use center click for security check, after I removed ADOBE FLASH PLAYER plug-in. adobe flash player plug-in 15.0.1. I also removed it from Avast internet security 2015 firewall. Simultaneously, I had a problem with flash player freezing and showing a black screen and no way to exit except windows button. I suspect adobe flashplayer code.(adobe corp. malware) I do not permit adobe or related sites and adobe update(different name for site) shows up on my firewall.(I block the connection) I hate adobe. flash only exists for the exploits it provides.

I'll try to find a regression range.

OK this is too weird. I had the problem reproduced on a VM.. and in trying to find a regression range it's just working there now, even with 2.6.9.3rc3 which was broken for me first time around.
Still broken on this machine.
???

(I didn't touch Flash player at all.)

Posted too soon, it's working here too now without touchng NoScript version. I suppose it was a server side issue and Giorgio fixed it.
Does anyone else get the issue anymore?

Hello

a bit related.

I notices something

Before the bug, the windows with all these links to WOT Scorecard, McAfee SiteAdvisor®, etc. had also two button to allow the script ot put in in the "non reliable" zone.

These two buttons are now gone.
