[RESOLVED] Noscript with Sea Monkey and Login to Web.de

I have Noscript 2.6.9 installed on Sea Monkey 2.29.1, and it has recently started
to put out a warning when I attempt to login to my freemail account at web.de
requiring me to enter my login userid and password again. It also seems to
have something to do with the "logout" button or process. Because after I
deactivate NoScript, then I get a message telling me that I did not logout properly.
But after I logged out I got the "Logout Abgeschlossen" screen from Web.de.
This means that I have to run with NoScript deaktivated :o
Please can you help??

Does "Allow Scripts Globally" or cascading permissions mode get it working properly?
If not, when it fails, do you see anything related in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
(if you don't know what's related, turn off CSS warnings and post everything else you see)

Allow scripts globally still fails.

I got output from the browser console, but it seems to trigger your antispam mechanism.
So I will break it down into little pieces.
line 1. Zeitstempel: 14.10.2014 19:36:01
line 2. Fehler: ReferenceError: ui is not defined
line3. Quelldatei: http://logout.webde.uimserv.net immediately followed by a line of letters and numbers that
breaks your antispam filter, it starts with a question mark followed by a letter p followed by an equals sign followed by
a long string of letters and numbers that starts with TG
line 4. Zeile: 169

If you need the string of gibberish please let me know how I can avoid activating the antispam filter.

Regards Brian

You've outlined enough of that message. Is that the only message?
Anything marked as Untrusted?
If you install NoRedirect and set it up to block all redirects (remove all rules, then add a rule as follows:
Regex: .*
check only "Source")
does that reveal any extra script-blocked sites, or do you get any other possibly related messages in the Browser Console?

EDIT (Another possibility might be to open the browser console *first*, put it behind the browser window but where you can still see it, then perform the actions that fail. Sometimes there can be so many CSS warnings that the relevant message gets obliterated, and the only way to see it is to have the console open the whole time...)

In the console I switched off everything except 'Failures' because you said to ignore CSS warnings, and I only saw this one message.

Nothing marked as 'Untrusted'. Allow all Sites is activated.

NoRedirect is not compatible with SM 2.29.1.

When I start the console before I press the 'Logout' icon then I get about 21 Warnings, and 5 Deprecated warnings.

There does not seem to be a way to 'store' the complete console output, one must save each entry separately to the Clipboard,
and then paste each entry into the post. :(

I'll try to paste the entries that do not end with *.css

?????
I'm using it right now with SeaMonkey 2.29.1 on several different machines, and I don't recall modifying NoRedirect...
If you're saying that because AMO grayed out the "Add to SeaMonkey" button, just click that anyway, then select "Install anyway", and it should install and work fine.

Hello again,
NoRedirect installed without problem.
I removed all entries, and added Regex: .* with ony Source selected.
This did not show any additional script blocked sites. I did not expect to see any since
NS is set allow all sites.

A new situation revealed itself.
With NS deactiviert I logged in to Web.de, and did a Logout.

After installing Noredirect, and Aktivating NS, I expected to be able to login to web.de
without seeing the Warning message that I had not logged out successfully.

However what appeared in the console log was the following:

Zeitstempel: 16.10.2014 19:10:07
Fehler: NS_ERROR_FAILURE:
Quelldatei: https://secure.flashtalking.com/pageFol ... v3.0.16.js
Zeile: 17

and the warning that I had not logged out.

I am sorrowfully none the wiser, but perhaps it helps you.

Regards Brian.

Well, every time I've seen that message, it's been a browser bug...

Please create a clean profile from scratch. Install only NoScript latest development build, leaving all the defaults.
Does the problem still exist? (somehow I suspect it will :| if so, I'm out of ideas, sorry - if not, read on)
If not, what if you then import your NS settings into the clean profile using the Import and Export buttons *on the very bottom* of NS Options?
If that still doesn't reproduce the problem, NoScript is not the culprit... try Standard Diagnostic (leaving NS enabled) to isolate and correct the real cause.

Let us know, thanks.

Ok, I deinstalled Sea Monkey, and deleted the Mozilla in Users\Appdata\Roaming\Mozilla\etc. data.

I then downloaded, and installed SM 2.29.1 again, and installed NS 2.9.1.

Now my login, (and logout) in Web.de work as expected. (Read OK).

I'm happy, and i hope that it also makes you happy.

please close this thread.
Have a great weekend.
Regards Brian
