[Invalid] Missing icons

With the last NS release, I lost Redbox icons and Slate.com comment icons. And probably others that I haven't yet stumbled on.
I tested Redbox in both FF and IE. No problems in IE, but at the same URL, icons were missing in FF.
This was all working previously and only the NS update has been applied to my old FF browser. So the problem is definitely with NS.
[It would be helpful if you could provide attachment storage here to post examples in the thread. Storage is very cheap these days].

Screenshots of the page and your NS menu? (upload to a site like google or postimg, then link here)
Also, are you on Fx 3.6.28?

What purpose would screenshots serve? You don't believe me? Take my word, the icons are there is IE and not there in FF. This is a common problem with NS and I have reported it before. It seems to be getting worse though.
Yes, I am still using the old FF 3.6.28 version. I did try to get up on Palemoon a fe wmonths back but couldn't get the tab bar to autohide via a CSS style mod like I can in 3.6.28. So I was losing a lot of screen estate since I typically have 50 or so tabs open. Maybe I will take another crack at trying it again.

OK, so after reading that, I did a search, and found
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=19637
That is an issue with font not loading, but you say that un-checking "Forbid @font-face" doesn't help.
So, un-check that, and try again. If it doesn't work, do you see anything related in the Error Console (Ctrl-Shift-J)?
Does disabling NoScript (Tools > Add-ons Manager > NoScript > Disable > Yes, remove ALL protections) get the icons working?
Try creating a clean
profile, and install NoScript there leaving all default settings. Do these icons display there (after allowing the font)?

Wait, is that the Skype extension you have in your Fx screenshot? From the sticky:
https://forums.informaction.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1431 wrote:1) If you have any Firefox extensions called HP Smart Web Printing,
Skype, .NET Framework Assistant, or McAfee Site Advisor, then uninstall or disable them. They're buggy and known to cause problems with the status bar icon.

If it is a "font-face", then there are settings in both NoScript & also FF that can determine what displays (or not).
But then how are we to know just what the issue is.

No, I am not concerned with the post you found about the missing icons in the RSS reader. That appears to be something different. There have been other reports made. Off the top of my head, I think I have reported that the Businessweek website lost the PRINT icon some time back (which allowed me to copy a complete, multi-page article). This icon/function has never returned, so I have to go to IE or Chrome to get that PRINT (to single page) functionality. There are more examples but I generally don't report them because I pretty much know that I'll get the usual response - Take all your extensions out and start adding them one by one to see where the conflict may lie. Like I have nothing else to do.
When something was working and then stops working and I didn't make any changes to the browser (which in this case is admittedly old but therefore, does not generally get any updates except for NS), then the problem is very probably with NS. Not extension conflicts unless the new NS version created the conflict.

^^ If none of that gets anywhere, or disabling NS works but you can't find how to configure NoScript to get it working, please post a URL where you see the problem that doesn't require login to view, and I'll see if I can reproduce the issue myself in Fx 3.6.28 (Linux).

Screenshots:
3 browser compare. Notes on the screenshot. Do you see the icons missing from FF? The icons USED to be there before the last NS update.

Console log from opening up Slate tab. Certainly is a huge number of JS errors. Is this all NS fault? Doesn't look kosher!

Well good that you've taken steps to confirm that.

And if you revert to the prior NoScript version ...?

I think its time we stop harping & actually start doing something to determine where the issue lies - on your end.
Oh, & those icons display just fine - in FF3628 & NoScript 2.6.8.42rc1.
(What a pleasant experience to have a browser that you don't need a manual & the need to immediately install extensions just to use.)

@Jojo999: Are you running Adblock Plus or some similar extension or software with subscription capability? Because those subscriptions auto-update, and that auto-update might have coincided with a NoScript update and be what's really causing this. Your screenshot kind of looks like how it would look if ABP were blocking those.
Looking at the console messages, it seems you
might have an extension conflict, so if nothing else works,
Standard Diagnostic should help you figure and fix the cause. But
*don't do that before trying the suggestions mentioned above*, because those might get to the root cause more quickly.
Please let us know the results, thanks.
(I think I'll leave this thread alone now.)

Thanks. The problem does seem to be caused by Adblock Plus. for some odd reason, Slate puts the comment button next to the social media buttons, which I have chosen to block. So the comment button got caught up in the blocking.
AdBlock also has a most excellent problem reporting form accessible from their statusbar icon. It takes a screenshot, allows you to mark the problem area and then comment. This would seem to be an idea that NS should consider implementing. Also to reiterate, NS forum should provide attachment storage. Why? One, i would be easier for the user and two, posts wouldn't lose the attachment evidence as off-site storage got cleared in the future.
Finally, had I followed the standard BS from "therube" i would still be scratching my head, no closer to a solution.
