Permanently unblock a font object

On some sites, their custom glyph font gets blocked as an object, so I, as a relatively new user, can't figure out a way to allow it permanently. This happens on e.g. myhomeworkapp.com. Is there a way to do this that I'm missing? For reference, the blocked object is FONT@https://d1z4qtc4rchehj.cloudfront.net.

add

Code: Select all

FONT@https?://d1z4qtc4rchehj\.cloudfront\.net
to about:config -> noscript.allowedMimeRegExp

That didn't work.

Edit: also, apparently the forum time is two days behind!

Is the "d1z4qtc4rchehj" part fixed or random?

Are you looking at joined vs. post time?

It looks like it's fixed.

I sure was! I'm not used to the user info being on the right side, I guess.

I went to that site, and not only do I not see any font object, the cloudfront domain I get doesn't match the one in the OP. Could you please post an exact URL? (wrap in url tags or code tags so that the forum doesn't break your link)

Oops, I should have realized that you need to log in to get to the page that has the font issue, since it is https://myhomeworkapp.com/home

Unfortunately I don't have an account there, so I can't investigate it further, sorry.

Does temporarily allowing the font through the NS menu work?
If so, it's likely just a matter of finding the right allowedMimeRegExp string, but what version of NoScript are you using?
If not, does disabling NoScript get the font to load?

Temporarily un-blocking the object works. I'm using version 2.6.8.40.

If it doesn't, then you've got things blocked in FF itself.
Options | Content | Advanced -> Allow pages to choose their own fonts

Have you got "Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too" checked? If not, can you just whitelist the domain?

Is the cloudfront domain listed in Untrusted? That would make it impossible to permanently unblock the FONT object while you could still temp-allow it.

I didn't find this option, but while I was looking for it, I found that the "Forbid @font-face" option was checked. Un-checked it, reloaded the problem page, and I see the proper font now.

Yes, that would work too, but bear in mind that what you've done there is unblock *all* webfonts in NoScript aka trust *all* webfonts on the Internet not to try to attack your computer.

Fair enough. Mind helping me find the aforementioned option, then? What section should it be in?
