Has anybody figured out how to get NoScript to play nice with Tunein without completely disabling the addon?
I specifically allow each and every domain the site asks to run when attempting to play a stream in-browser on Tunein (a list of 19 different domains, including all the ones associated with advertising tracking and metrics). After several reloads, and after NoScript shows nothing is being blocked, Tunein still comes up with "We're sorry. An error occurred. Please try again."
Variables ruled-out include other Firefox add-ons (AdBlock Plus and FlashBlock), as Tunein works fine in Firefox with these add-ons enabled whilst NoScript is disabled.
Even telling NoScript to "Allow All Scripts Globally (dangerous)" doesn't work.
I'm sure somebody else out there has used NoScript with Tunein.
The details...
site: www.tunein.com
functionality: play audio streams in-browser
browser: Firefox 31.0
os: Win XP Pro 2002 SP3
noscript and Tunein
noscript and Tunein
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:31.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/31.0

I had, in the past, and it's still working with my setup.evilpasta wrote:Has anybody figured out how to get NoScript to play nice with Tunein without completely disabling the addon?
Some streams just don't work, and that's not related to NS. It's possibly a regional thing.evilpasta wrote:Tunein still comes up with "We're sorry. An error occurred. Please try again."
Try this one: http://tunein.com/radio/Dkeserverse-Radio-s116042/
Allowed sites are only:
Code: Select all
+tunein.com
+googleapis.com
+d3bwsr3zpy54hy.cloudfront.net
+stream.radiotime.com
+google.comHievilpasta wrote:I'm sure somebody else out there has used NoScript with Tunein.

Re: noscript and Tunein
If the Tunein stream I linked doesn't work for you:
Have you got both Forbid Flash and Apply these restrictions to whitelisted sites too checked? (NS Options -> Embeddings)
Anything in the Untrusted submenu?
If the answers to both of those questions are "no", after you allowed all the sites mentioned in my last post, if the stream still fails is there anything related in the Browser Console (Ctrl-Shift-J)?
Also, what version of NoScript are you using?
IIRC I didn't have to do anything special to get Tunein working with NS here. So if we can't find/fix whatever's off in your profile, and if NoScript really is the culprit, you could try a NoScript reset (backup first using Export button *on the very bottom* of NoScript Options, then reset with the button on the very bottom of NS Options).
Let us know, thanks.
