[Invalid] Can't login or signup to StackExchange.com

Post by Stakman »

Hi,

I'm not 100% positive that NoScript is the culprit, but I can't login or signup to the Japanese StackExchange because the login and signup buttons do nothing.

It still doesn't work if the following are whitelisted
stackexchange.com
sstatic.net
ajax.googleapis.com

And cookies are allowed.

Maybe a StackExchange surrogate should be added to the next version of NS if you can reproduce the issue ?

What does happen when you try?
Any related messages in Error Console?
Can you login/signup if you disable NoScript?

Disabling NoScript ? Are you mad ? ;)

Yeah I tried in Firefox Safe Mode and it actually doesn't even work that way. That's pretty lame for such a big site if you ask me.
Then I noticed the Japanese part of StackExchange is beta and you can post as a guest.

My apologies for the inconvenience of this thread ;)

@barbaz: Interesting. I never saw stackauth.com listed in NoScript menu even with the 3 sites whitelisted.

But since it doesn't work even if Firefox safe mode it's probably another problem that affected me upstream. Yours is an odd issue though.
