Since Firefox updated a few days ago noscript is missing, but is working to block sites. No tool bar on bottom, no icon anywhere. Tried FAQ advice and no icon appears for me to drag. When I go do add-ons I cannot find anything to get noscript visible. Tried sync but noscript is blocking Javascript and I have no way to allow it. Reinstalled noscript several times, no luck.

I'm on version 31.0 now. I assume what I had before was the most recent. I don't know how to look up the previous version.

Tried customize and restore default, nothing there. I cannot find about:support, or preferrences on this one. The only "about" I can click on is 'About Firefox' at the bottom of the help tab and it just shows a logo box saying its up to date.

Re: No noscript icons since Firefox update
I went to 'file' then 'open file' and found that version 31.0 installed on 7/17/14 then traced back and found Firefox on 6/4/14 was version 29.0.1.5239, so that's probably the latest version I was on when NoScript was working and icons and toolbar was visible. This updated version is a lot different in look, feel, and function. I cannot find a way to get 'preferrences' no matter how many ways I try on this version.

Re: No noscript icons since Firefox update
Get the old (non-broken) theme back: Firefox 24 ESR
(uninstall your existing Firefox first)
Others have reported that that made the NS icon available in toolbar Customize.

Re: No noscript icons since Firefox update
Maybe this will help someone else. When I installed this new version 31.0 I remembver my maleware program caught an attempt by babylon toolbar and blocked it. I just now went to 'help' then 'troublshooting' and found lots of info. There is something in there about "conduit" [which is garbage] under "Important Modified Preferences", and at the bottom of that there is a heading that says "user.js.Preferences" and a note saying "Your profile folder contains a 'user.js.file' which includes preferences that were not created by Firefox." I clicked on 'user.js.file' and it showed some garbage about "babylon toolbar".
My suspicion is that there may be a problem with the new version 31 and I should not have installed it in the first place. Well, so much for trying to keep my computer updated with the latest and the greatest stuff.

I think I'll reinstall my last version of Firefox. I like NoScript and it has helped me keep my computer clean, but I cannot use it to allow anything with Firefox version 31.0.
