[RESOLVED] firefox warns/blocks link to this forum

Post by just another healthy paranoid user gal »

hi noscript team, first thanks for this fabulous addon, i think i use those noscript buttons hundreds times a day, allowing, blocking that again allowing those pesky scripts hehe :)

but i wanted to warn you, that after update of noscrip, when i clicked on link to this forum on the noscript update info page, it got blocked by firefox as malicious and i had to allow it. seems like someone reported it as malware site in attempt, to invoke fear and distrust against noscript in less savvy average users :?

@ gergio

I spent some time with google-search because i still have the problem with direct-download and visit the forum because of the certificate error-message by Firefox 31 (Ubuntu 14.04 & Windows 8.1-Upd.1)

Here are my results -> and the answer looks like:

http://www.startssl.com/?app=21
It think the important line is: SSLCertificateChainFile /usr/local/apache/conf/sub.class1.server.ca.pem
(matched with the file for download on the website)

If i import the file: sub.class1.server.ca.pem into firefox 31 (with the import-function at the certification-preferences tab) -> no more problems with direct-dl and forum.

regards
Peter

@ the funny one above gergio's post

No, your are right and hopefully you're not paranoid. I get the same message since some days and wrote emails to georgio about that situation. But the correspondence has been stopped - don't no why - so i continue writing here.

OK, scrambled some parameters across the 3 interested mirrors (one nginx and two Apache, different versions) and now it should be much better. Please recheck.

hi Giorgio, i can't get that screenshot, because first i added the page to allowed and second, got /offtopicranton problems with my system, that all files seem to turn to read only, and my two different firefox portables acting crazy, one lost all passwords and can't remember them anymore, the other couldn't load certificat something and it says, it's cause lacking write permissions....both in sandboxie, but it seems have that read only problem on whole system and have t google around and mess with permissions and ownership blablah, and it sucks  /rantover

but /ontopic it looked like this one Image

have a nice weekend, ciao :)
