No script collaberating with govt. agency?
I remember reading somewhere that noscript voluntarily or was forced to give information to a govt agency. Correct if I'm wrong, but I tried to google it and couldn't come up with anything again. I just remember reading something to that extent several months ago, but don't know when it happened. I could totally be way off here, but maybe someone else can shed some light. Thanks

Is that the Italian government?
Or the US government?
Or the Russian government?
And why collaborate?
Why not just download the xpi & view its contents.
Plus, just what are we collaborating on?
Oh wait, I just went to www.nsa.gov & I don't see anything blocked?
Oops, not running NoScript in this Profile.
Whew!
I was worried for a moment.
Matter of fact, get it here, http://noscript.net/getit, examine it & tell us what you come up with. It's all there, in black & white.

A bit of common sense would have told you that there is absolutely nothing NoScript can collaborate on. 1) Doesn't collect anything. 2) Doesn't transmit or facilitate transmission of anything. 3) It does nothing with data of any kind. SO what exactly is it supposed to be collaborating with anyone. Have people traded in their commonsense for a Popsicle or something? What it DOES do is prevent companies like Google (who do collaborate) from getting anything more on you. You are welcome.

Well, US-CERT talks about NoScript (as a way to disable JavaScript for security reasons), and they have a link in their sidebar marked 'Resources for information sharing and collaboration among government agencies'. But there's no connection between the two.

Nobody might be able to tell you if there was any collaboration
If there was any collaboration Giorgio probably wouldn't be allowed to tell you. One can always hope that some services would rather shut down than collaborate in an unethical fashion, e.g. like Lavabit.
But Noscript is not a service (if you ignore maybe that ABE WAN IP stuff), it's an open-source tool. Still maybe Giorgio could put up some marker in the sense that if it is removed then it indicates the NSA was here and might have instructed that some NoScript installations be updated to malicious versions.
