Javascript:void(0)

Hello! Before anything, I just want to say that I'm very thankful for NoScript. Thank you very much for it!

That said, I experienced some problems with it. Since yesterday, I couldn't use some functions in different websites (like Reddit). For example, I couldn't reply to threads and the message "Javascript:void(0)" would appear at the status bar. Then, I disabled all the add-ons from Firefox (version 29.0.1) in order to hunt which one was the culprit. This problem only happens when NoScript (version 2.6.8.28) is installed and running (no problems at all with other add-ons). I should say again that this is a very recent issue, I always used NoScript and never had any problems with it.

Cheers!

URLs where this is happening?

Anything relevant in the Error Console?

I didn't check in a lot of websites, but it's happening in Reddit. I testes with all add-ons I have here, and it only happens when NoScript is installed. And, as I said, it's something vey recent, because I always used NoScript.

On the console, this appears:

TypeError: reply is not a function
TypeError: click_thing is not a function

It works for me, as long as I've got all the following allowed:
  • reddit.com
  • ajax.googleapis.com
  • redditstatic.com

When any 3rd party (anything) w/ "google" as part of the name is listed as a tracker & a site won't work correctly w/o it (assuming you need the site), aren't you pretty much at Google's mercy as to what they gather?
Sure, you can avoid typing in name, email, phone #, etc., but they'll have everything else. Unless they're just not interested, or a site prohibits them from gathering data.

how to prevent google tracking you when their 3rd-aprty scripts are included by a site (that post is specifically for jQuery but the method described should work for most googleapis)

From Giorgio's last two posts in Barbaz's link:
noscript.surrogate.localtest.sources;ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7.1/jquery.min.js
noscript.surrogate.localtest.replacement;file:///home/ma1/noscript/surrogates/jquery.min.js
This is awesome, why isn't it added by default to NoScript ? Or is it and I'm blind, or it's in the process of being added, or it's too big to be worth adding to the XPI.
