autorefreshing affecte tabs despite settings to the contrary

Hi,
For some time now that when I (temporarily) allow the site I'm on (as right here, if I allow informaction.com or forums.informaction.com, nothing big, just for usability) all other tabs that have that same domain open will get refreshed as well, while my settings show they shouldn't(!): 'automatically reload affected pages when permissions change' is unchecked (and checking, applying, unchecking, applying didn't resolve it).
I've tweaked about:config ofcourse, and searching there for 'reload' in there shows me that every single hit is set to 'false' or '0', apart from noscript.requireReloadRegExp, network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist, and noscript.confirmUnsafeReload.

Is it just me or my config, or are there more that have noticed this behaviour; or is it somehow even intended?

If someone could shed some light on this, that'd be really nice; it's been severely hampering my browsing habits (humongous collections of open tabs).


Lastly, I'd like to deeply thank all those who make&made this add-on; can't imagine browsing without it.

That is actually different from what you're looking for.
Unchecking that setting is a global override to refreshing, IOW you would have to refresh any & all pages manually.

You'll want, noscript.autoReload.allTabs.

See, 5.2 Q: When I change permissions, all the affected tabs/windows are reloaded, and sometimes this is annoying. I know I could turn off automatic reloading from NoScript Options|General, but can I disable it for background tabs/windows but keep it for the current tab only?

Sadly, the one you mention is already set to false.

Is not what is happening on this end (not anymore at least, for quite some time now), whenever I use the noscript toolbar icon menu to temporarily allow <current domain> (i.e. 'informaction.com' here) that tab, and any already loaded tabs with that same domain, will get reloaded automatically in spite of the mentioned setting (which is shown as unchecked/false in 'options' and 'about:config').

Hence me coming here and asking, since I haven't managed to find a solution to this predicament..

I've just resolved it... after all this time, within hours after finally asking about it. Unbelievable.

NS2662 (1jul2013) ... somehow wasn't updating any addons (despite the FF ui showing it would), guess thAt was a misconfigtweak :s

And just quickly tested, no more autorefresh of the current page, and no more autorefreshing affected tabs.


Sorry, and thanks; I'm not sure how long it would have taken to realise I ran utterly outdated addons..
and I only accidentally realised that part through another addon popping up as 'will be disabled upon restart' while everyone on addons.mozzilla.org was happily using it.


resolved, and back to being a happy camper
