FlashGot is supposed to support Folx 3 on OS X, and the developer made a version of Folx 3 called Folx GO.
It seems to have all the features of Folx 3 except the "Smart Speed Limit" and shutdown PC on schedule features.
You have to install the plugins outside the App Store download, but then it is supposed to function just like Folx 3.
However, FlashGot latest version (which is newer than the dev version) on Firefox 27/28 OS X 10.9.2, cannot detect Folx to make use of it.
I tried pressing detect now to no avail.

Re: FlashGot not detecting Folx GO
There might be other differences under the hood, such as a different app or shared object name, a different installation, or a different API, preventing FlashGot to detect it or to work with it: any such a change should be hard-coded into a new version of Flashgot to allow integration with Folx GO. More infos should be available in Flashgot log, accessible via advanced options tab (if disabled, enable log first and restart Firefox). Look at the last section, starting with the last string looking like "*** FlashGot 1.5.5.98 started at", you should find something thereafter.
Anyway, if Folx GO can be invoked from the shell, you should be able to create a custom entry in Flashgot options. Just set the right "templates" (Folx GO command line options).
