Hi,

noscript options hangs firefox 22-26
does anyone know of a fix for this
only interested in solutions that does not required destroying my profile

Does it happen also if you disable all your add-ons except NoScript?
If you wait enough, does the Options window show up eventually?
If it does, you may want to try hitting the [Reset] button on it.

The Option window displays just fine, problem is my
attempts to click buttons and tabs result in firefox not responding..

really hoping someone knows how to manually remove the noscript add-on
removing via add-ons page and reinstalling results in the same behavior.

So the [Reset] button causes Firefox to hang as well?

As a test, create a new, clean Profile.
Install only NoScript.

Does that work?

Brute force.
Remove the file {73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}.xpi from within your Profile/extensions directory.

Though I'd say you have a bigger issue then simply removing NoScript.

yes, fyi all my other profiles work with NoScript as well
trying to salvage this one.. tried all the obvious solutions to no avail
no more tests pls! just proven solution

your solution removed noscript add-on but about:config still shows numerous noscript entries.
need to remove those as well, can you help me with that?

Found Solution

I removed to noScript add-on and remaining noScript entries in about:config via right click and reset restart firefox
then reinstalled noscript opened options window to general tab and then clicked reset button
now it nocript works as expected.

fyi removal was via add-on panel & Brute Force
(Brute force: Remove the file {73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}.xpi from within your Profile/extensions directory)
which turned up extra 73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232(2) folders

I wish I could delete previous SOLVED postings

I tried that solution on a duplicate profile a made (for testing possible solutions) to no avail.

but I discovered my problem, it was an app I use called roboform trying to attach to the noscript options windows
but only for these 2 profiles.. very strange

Solution was to disable the auto attach to windows apps in roboform options
reset noScipt in noScript options window, then re-enable attach to windows in roboform.
now alls well!
