Hi there! Please forgive my lack of knowledge about how things are interacting on my laptop. I am running windows 7, firefox of course and my email tool is the ancient outlook 2003 where I download my emails (pop3) from the server. Ever since I installed and use NoScript my emails do not display pictures or graphics (embedded in the email) any more. Is this a coincidence or is it possible that NoScript has anything to do with it? I have now out of curiosity disabled NoScript but it does not seem to have made a difference. Any comment ( except the ones " how can you possibly not know...." are welcome Cheers and thanks Stefan

When you disabled NS, did you select "Yes, remove ALL protections" and restart browser? If so, then it's not NoScript-related, your best bet is Standard Diagnostic.

When pix don't display, do you see any related message in the Browser Console? (Ctrl-Shift-J)
Does it still fail on a new Fx profile with only NoScript installed (with your settings imported, use import and export buttons on the very bottom of NS Options)?

Under "tools" "add-ons" I get " options" "disable" and "remove". Clicking on disable tells me that Noscript will be disabled after firefox restarts. There do not appear any additional choices (like "remove ALL protections...") .

May be I was not clear--- it is in OUTLOOK 2003 where the pics do not appear- the browser is fine. My email messages display a little icon (box with an X in it) where a picture or graphic is embedded, but not the picture itself. Cheers Stefan

Add-on: Sorry, clarification! I think you assume that I read my emails directly through my browser which is not the case- I use outlook with pop3 setup. Have to try though what happens when I directly connect to my mail provider through firefox. Have seen meanwhile that there are a few posts concerning conflicts with outlook.com, but not sure if this points in the right direction. Cheers Stefan

NoScript couldn't possibly be affecting Outlook. It only applies to Firefox. The fact that the problem continued after NoScript was disabled confirms that; it must be a coincidence that it started when you installed NoScript.

On the subject of disabling NoScript - when you click on Disable, normally you'll get a dialog offering to allow scripts globally instead, so you can retain the XSS filter and other miscellaneous protections. Did that not happen for you? Which version of NoScript do you have installed?
