Sticks in memory

I am using Firefox 3.5 with Orbit downloader on Vista business.

After I close Firefox, and later launch it, it doesn't work. I find that firefox and flashgot are still in memory.

When I uninstall flashgot, it closes alright.

Is there a setting I forgot to do to get it to close properly?

Do you have other extensions also installed?
If you disable all other extensions except for FlashGot, does the problem persist?

I'll have to test it on another computer.

I have 25 other extensions loaded. And it is only flashgot that stalls the computer.

Its not necessarily Flashgot, but rather the downloader associated with it that might be holding the file stream open and therefore not letting the browser close down, so it seems that Flashgot is doing it but that is just a memory reference. I would bet more likely that its an Orbit downloader on Vista issue, have you checked with them to see if there is a known issue and perhaps an update available for it? Check their support forum here: http://forum.orbitdownloader.com/search.php

If you feel it is download manager related, change downloaders to (Browser Build In) & see if the issue persists.
(Doing so, it could be that FlashGot does not even load as a Process?)

FlashGot should only show as a Process momentarily & only when you actually perform some FlashGot operation (like FlashGot All).
(And FlashGot may be loading as a Process only when it is interfacing with a "true" download manager, where it needs to act as an intermediary?)
