Hi,
I have a strange problem with NoScript during a while. Sometimes NoScript switches on Firefox startup to "globally allowed" by itself. I've heard this could happen when using Sandboxie, but it's also happening while Sandboxie is not used. I'm using both a long time now, but I'm experiencing this problems since a few weeks. I think it would help if there would be an option to globally block all scripts automatically on startup like in "CS Lite".
Kind Regards,

I've never encountered this...OGAMI Ito wrote:Sometimes NoScript switches on Firefox startup to "globally allowed" by itself.
There shouldn't be any need; setting NoScript to 'Forbid Scripts Globally' is supposed to be permanent, and if you want permissions to be reset on browser start, then just give temporary permissions instead of permanent ones.I think it would help if there would be an option to globally block all scripts automatically on startup like in "CS Lite".
Or if you want to wipe your whole whitelist, you can easily do it (go to Options-Whitelist, click on the first one, scroll to the end, shift+click on the last one, click 'Remove Selected Sites').
Are you able to observe any pattern in when this global-allow occurs?
Is there any chance that you're accidentally clicking on the menu item?

Thank you for your response!
Sometimes it happens when I start Firefox via Sandboxie, and turn off NoScript. After deleting the sandbox, every setting I've made in Firefox shouldn't be saved. But when I start Firefox outside the sandbox, it can happen that it starts NoScript with "globally allowed" permissions, but not every time. This behavior is new for me for a couple of weeks, and never happened before.Thrawn wrote:Are you able to observe any pattern in when this global-allow occurs?
I wouldn't say it's impossible, but it would only happen one or two times, and not so often.Thrawn wrote:Is there any chance that you're accidentally clicking on the menu item?

What does "turn off" mean in this case? Disable? Globally allow? Uninstall?OGAMI Ito wrote: Sometimes it happens when I start Firefox via Sandboxie, and turn off NoScript.

Sorry, I mean that it turns automatically to "Globally allow".Thrawn wrote:What does "turn off" mean in this case? Disable? Globally allow? Uninstall?OGAMI Ito wrote: Sometimes it happens when I start Firefox via Sandboxie, and turn off NoScript.

So what you're saying is that you switch to Scripts Globally Allowed while running inside Sandboxie, so it shouldn't be persisted after you flush your sandbox, but sometimes it is?
This sounds like a Sandboxie bug.

Maybe you're right. I will observe this and report, if it happens without Sandboxie. It just makes me curious, why it's happening now and never before, but perhaps it's a problem with the newer version No. 4 of Sandboxie. Thank you for your effort!
