how to disable redirect notification?

Post by powerman »

I'm using version 2.6.8.1 and unable to disable notification related to page redirects.
I didn't see any options related to this, and switching noscript.jsredirectFollow and noscript.jsredirectIgnore from false to true doesn't change this behavior.
Using example url http://www.fordvehicles.com/ from http://noscript.net/features I always get notification from NoScript!
Is this a bug? If not, then how to configure NoScript to open this example url without asking any questions?

Not sure what kind of redirect notification you are getting?

Open http://noscript.net/features
Click the http://www.fordvehicles.com/ link

& it opens in a new tab as expected, with nothing further "said".

I got new tab with single-line yellow notification with 3 buttons:
"This webpage has asked to redirect to http://www.ford.com/ [Allow] [Deny] [More...] ×"
If I click on [More...] button I got drop-down menu with 2 options:
"Allow requests from fordvehicles.com to ford.com"
"Temporarily allow requests from fordvehicles.com to ford.com"

Sorry, it looks like this happens because of RequestPolicy plugin, not NoScript. But, still, I can't find how to allow these redirects without completely switching RequestPolicy off.

You can raise this with the RP author, but my unofficial advice is that there is no point having RP if you are going to automatically allow all cross-site redirects.
